General English
For the first 90 minutes we will work with a course book to enable you to improve the 4 main skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as grammar and vocabulary.
21st Century Skills
In the second lesson you will be focussing on 21st century skills to build your confidence and develop fluency. This includes topic based project work, conversation, critical thinking exercises, communication, collaboration, team work, drama, culture exchange, and much more. This lesson will give you a lot of freedom to express yourself in English and be creative with what you have learnt.
Activities
We have different social activities planned for you every day, so you can explore and enjoy beautiful Oxford. Activities include:

- Harry Potter Tour
- Oxford Castle
- Punting
- Cream Tea
- Ice Skating
- And many more
Evening activities
You will also have the chance to join our evening activity programme. This can include cinema nights, ice skating, disco, talent shows or team building activities.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
All students are provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will be able to choose between a variety of freshly prepared food, and drinks.
Accommodation
Wychwood accommodation for girls
Girls aged 10-17 year will stay at Wychwood Campus, which provides a safe and secure environment where students are cared for all day.

Jesus College accommodation for boys
Male students aged 10-17 will stay a 5 minute walk from Wychwood at Jesus college, a part of University of Oxford accommodation at Stevens Close. Stevens Close accommodation is comprised of apartments housing 3 students per apartment, each with their own bedroom and shared lounge and bathroom. Male students staying at Stevens Close will have all meals at Wychwood campus.
*A safe and secure environment: accommodation and gardens are secured by a gate with an access fob for all residents
*An onsite caretaker who lives in the adjacent building is responsible for maintaining the area and also the security of the accommodation
*CIE staff will stay at the accommodation
*Laundry facilities
*Bedding changed weekly, bathroom and study area cleaned once a week
*Towels are provided and washed at least once a week
*Please note that all students under the age of 18 are strongly advised to attend a full-time programme (15 hours of lessons + activities). Any student under the age of 18 choosing not to attend a full-time programme must obtain written permission from the parents or guardians because CIE offer no alternative arrangements.
10-13 year old children will never be left unsupervised. Children aged 14-17 will only be unsupervised with permission from parents or guardians.
