An ETA allows you to travel to the UK to visit for up to 6 months.

other dates and Payment
Dates
Except for the bank holidays, students may start lessons on any Monday throughout the year.
CIE is closed every year as follows:
– Over the Christmas holiday weeks (21st December 2024 to 5th January 2025)
– On Monday and Friday surrounding Easter weekend (18th April and 21st April 2025)
– On spring bank holidays (5th May and 26th May 2025)
– CIE is open and classes take place over the summer bank holiday in August, (25th August 2025).
– We regret that we are unable to offer refunds or fees credits for English public holidays on which the school is closed, so please make your study and travel plans accordingly.
– Fees do not include any UK Government taxes (e.g VAT). If taxes become payable on course and/or accommodation fees at any point in the future they will be added to invoices required.
How to pay
You can choose to pay:
- by credit/debit card or bank transfer through our partner Flywire
- by bank transfer directly to a CIE Oxford account*
*Please note: local bank fees and exchange rates will apply (to number 2). When booking or applying, you can choose whether to pay full fees or only the deposit. If you are booking less than two weeks before the course starts, you will have to pay the full fees.
Paying through Flywire
Flywire is an international payment and collection provider for overseas student fees that has been designed specifically for universities and language schools.
When you submit a booking or application with CIE Oxford and you choose to use Flywire, your details will be received and reviewed by the admissions officer at CIE Oxford. If we have a place on the course you want, the admissions officer will accept your booking and you will receive an e-mail to request payment of either a deposit or full fees through Flywire. This e-mail will contain a link to go to the Flywire website where you will be able to either pay securely online via card or get details of the local Flywire bank account you will need to pay into. The advantage of using Flywire rather than paying directly to a CIE Oxford bank account is that Flywire allows you to:
- pay in your own currency,
- save on bank fees and exchange rates,
- pay by bank transfer, credit/debit cards and other local payment methods
- pay from any country and any bank
- track your payment from start to finish
- feel safe, with 24/7 dedicated multilingual customer support
