The “Schools and Agents” website wrote an article on CIE Oxford. Read what they had to say about our school below:

College of International Education (CIE), Oxford

CIE is  a relatively small and very friendly English language school located in the centre of Oxford. Their small size allows them to give students personalised classes which can be adapted to suit their English learning needs. CIE’s aim is to provide an environment in which students from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds can realise fully their academic and social potential, and at the same time understand and appreciate the rich diversity of their various cultural traditions.

They try to achieve this by providing courses that will widen the educational opportunities for students. Teaching at CIE is of a high standard and appropriate to the abilities and needs of each student. The school also provides Pastoral care that will enable the student to feel secure in a caring and supportive environment. Social activities that widen the understanding of the students of their environment and which create more opportunities for social interaction are offered on a weekly basis. Basically, CIE tries to provide a school environment in which students and teachers feel empowered to develop their skills and also feel valued and respected.

The main location at Bocardo House is a typical city centre building in Oxford. Situated just opposite the Oxford Union in St Michael’s Street, Bocardo House consists of 6 classrooms, varying in size from 2 to 8 students’ capacity, a students’ common room, including a small lending library and 3 internet-enabled computers, which are available to our students free of charge during the academic year, a kitchenette, with tea and coffee, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator where students may keep packed lunches, if they like, and a reception area and an administrative office.
